Ventnor City

Ventnor City provides guarded beaches from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with lifeguards on duty from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The availability of lifeguards may vary at the beginning and end of the summer, so it’s best to contact the Beach Headquarters at (609) 823-7948 for details.

To access the beaches in Ventnor, Beach Badges are required for individuals aged 12 and older. Beach badges can be purchased at Ventnor City Hall or on the beach from any Beach Badge Inspector. Prior to June 1st, season badges are available for $10.00, and Seasonal Senior Citizens badges are priced at $3.50. After May 31st, badges are available for $20.00 for the season. Margate City

Ventnor City and Margate City share beach badges so if you buy one for one city, you can use it for the other, as they are required for individuals aged 12 and over. Preseason beach badges are available for purchase at the Martin Bloom Pavilion (Granville & Beach) on select days and times. Preseason rates are $10 for regular badges and $3.50 for senior badges (65 & over). Starting from June 1st, all badges will be $20. Margate offers free seasonal tags to veterans and active military members. Remember to bring your proper military identification to receive your free tag(s). (Veteran only)

Protected Beaches Schedule

Margate’s protected beaches are guarded by lifeguards for your safety. Starting Memorial Day Weekend, certain beaches will have lifeguards on weekends only. From June 5, the protected beaches will have daily lifeguard coverage. The schedule expands further on June 12 and June 19, with additional beaches added to the protected area. From June 26 through September 6, all listed beaches will have daily lifeguard coverage.

Beach Facilities:

Margate offers convenient beach restrooms located at Clarendon Ave, Huntington Ave-Bloom Pavilion, Quincy Ave, and Benson Ave-Greenhouse. These facilities ensure a comfortable experience for beachgoers.

Atlantic City

Longport is known for its tranquil and less-crowded beaches, ideal for those seeking a quieter beach experience. Enjoy the pristine shoreline and take leisurely walks along the water’s edge. 

Longport Beach is safeguarded by a dedicated team of lifeguards who are committed to ensuring the safety of residents and beach patrons. Longport Beach Patrol headquarters is located at the Community Building on 33rd and Atlantic Avenue. Feel at ease as you enjoy your beach activities, knowing that professional lifeguards are on duty to provide assistance and maintain a safe environment. 

Beach Hours and Badge Requirements:

Longport’s Guarded Bathing Beaches are open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on each day of operation. Beach badges are required for all beach patrons over the age of 12. Brigantine

Brigantine Beach boasts lifeguards on duty to ensure the safety of all beachgoers. Beach Tags and Parking Permits:

To access the beaches in Brigantine, beach tags are required for individuals aged 12 and over. Season tags are available for $18, while seniors aged 65 and over and children aged 12 and under enjoy free admission. Weekly tags can be purchased for $14, and daily tags for $8.

In addition, if you plan to bring your vehicle, seasonal parking permits are available for $25. These permits provide convenient access to the beach and parking facilities throughout the season. Ocean City
