Nationwide air travel from Atlantic City just got a little easier. American Airlines is partnering with Landline to connect travelers from the Atlantic City Airport, to their flights out of Philadelphia. For years air travelers to and from the shore have relied on few options in dealing with the last stretch of travel. While there are buses and trains to the city of Philadelphia from AC, there are none direct to the airport, and that means travelers must pay for an expensive taxi/ride-share fare, or pay for long term parking at the airport. Starting soon, American Airlines will offer flight packages in which travelers can check in for their flights at the Atlantic City airport then, with their bags, be transported to their Philadelphia Airport gate, having already completed security as well. It’s a welcome addition to the area and opens up easier travel to more destinations from the shore. Spirit Airlines operates direct flights from the AC airport to Boston, Atlanta, and cities in Florida, but this new option will connect several more flights with American. More details will likely be announced in the coming months.
